What you should know before the first class

We're excited to welcome you back to in-person programs! Read more to review what you should know for your first class.

Proof of vaccination requirements
 
Proof of full vaccination and identification will be required to enter indoor recreation facilities by all visitors who are 12 years of age and older. Provincially defined medical exemptions apply.
 

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated guardian or caregiver aged 15 years and older. Staff will not act as guardians or caregivers and will not accompany participants to and from program locations.

 

Participants are also asked to complete the City's COVID-19 online screening questionaire. All participants will be required to show proof before entry.

Other COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols:
  • Maintain physical distancing (6 ft or 2 m) from others at all times
  • Mask or face covering is required at all times

  • Limited number of participants are permitted in programs and activities

  • Enhanced and frequent cleaning and sanitization procedures

  • No food & drink allowed
  • Spectators are allowed, however, please stay in designated areas. At the end of the program, vacate the building immediately. No loitering.
  • Use designated entrance and exits. Some entrances in large facilities may be closed. Learn more about how to enter the facility.

Before your program
  • Complete the COVID-19 self-assessment. If you answer yes to any questions, stay home.
  • Prepare to show proof of vaccination and identification
  • Arrive to the community centre in your active wear
  • Washrooms are available. It is recommended that participants limit the use of the washrooms while at the centre
  • Bring a labelled water bottle filled with water
  • Plan to arrive on time and no earlier then 10 minutes before your program.

Pay Per Play Programs

Formerly known as drop-ins, we also offer pay per play programs. Pre-book your spot in badminton, pickleball, volleyball and basketball now! Pre-booking for public skating begins Monday, October 4.

Weekly time slots are released every Monday at 8 AM for pre-booking.
